thank you for being our on demand parent professional development in order to Access Skyward go to the main page of Sheldon ISD you can click Skyward icon in the top right-hand corner of the page and you can also click on the parents app once you click on the parents tab there will be a drop down menu and you will then select Skyward family access once you click on either Skyward button it will bring you to this page you will enter your parent log-in information and password upon entering your login information you will be brought to this main change there is a wealth of information available from this main page today we are going to discuss account settings messages enrollment verification online forms locating your child's student identification number and how to change screens if you have multiple students let's start with parent settings look on the My Account button in the top right-hand corner and you will be brought to a settings page similar to this on this page this is a great time to verify your parent conference contact information on file you can update your email address and phone number make sure to provide accurate information as this is where teachers and administrators will go to pull the most accurate contact information for phone calls Mass recorded messages an e-mailed correspondence to parents secondly at the bottom of the screen you will notice the section titled email notifications in this section you as a parent can determine what type of notifications you wish to receive and how often you can specify to receive regarding your child's attendance when they are marked present when they are marked absent Pacific grade notifications and you can request to receive reports daily weekly or monthly this will be in addition to the regular progress reports issued by the campus on the 3rd 6th and 9th week each grading. It is important to note if you have multiple children within the district the notification will apply for all of them next if you have multiple children enrolled in Sheldon ISD you will click on this tab indicated by the Red Arrows to change which didn't you wish to review or you may click on all students to access information for all of your children at the same time if you look at the blue arrow this will help to identify which child information you are viewing your child is a returning Sheldon ISD student please make sure to complete the residency verification tab this information is needed by The District in campus register to vote high school placement as a parent if you are in need of locating Your Child ID number click on the stove tab info and it will take you to a tab similar to this you will then find the label student ID with a 5 digit number after it this is your child Sheldon identification number please note this number as it will used for various username logins in addition there are several online forms for parents to complete it has been digitized placed in this location to help alleviate the need for paper signature please make sure to complete all of the online forms as a pet you can click on the attendance tab to view your child's attendance records all of your child attendance markings will be uploaded here daily if your child is marked absent for any class or tardy it will be visible under this tab if you have multiple children within the district you'll be able to see all of if you feel there is an issue weather in attendance marking you may contact the campus or teacher directly the portfolio tab is a great tab to access overview of your child's educational history once you click on the tab it will open all report card and submitted documents to Sheldon ISD if you need to review a report card from previous years this is the location to access that information your child will receive or report cards during each school year while the school year is ongoing this portfolio will constantly update with the latest report card once the school year has ended it will show a fine report card in that report card will include all of the grades for the entire year please refer to the district calendar for report card. the last tab we are going to discuss today will be the calendar tab as a parent this is a great Snapchat place to view upcoming events for the campus in addition teachers May link important due dates and assignments to the calendar you think this calendar can assist you in keeping up with the happenings for you child and their campus Skyward is a great foundational place for parents to get an up-to-date snapshot of what is happening with their we will be uploading this tutorial to the district website for you to use and go back and refer to in October we will have a Skyward part 2 training that shares how to check your child assignment in directly contact their teacher if you have a specific campus Andor technology question please contact our district technology help line or your child's campus weather system once the school year begin if you have a question regarding a class or assignment please contact your child's teacher or administrator thank you for viewing or on demand professional development
